Hey I'm Hallie. My son was having trouble in his art class at preschool finding the right colors to paint his picture. His teacher told me I should get him checked to see if he has red-green colorblindness, a genetic disorder that effects the vision from the cone of the eye. He was diagnosed a week ago with the disorder. To diagnose him, they used a simple procedure of showing him a few pictures with blended colors. The results were positive, my son is officially restricted from seeing all the beautiful colors of the world. Apparently, this disorder is passed from the x chromosome, which means in turn that he inherited it from me although I am just a carrier. If anyone else is dealing with this problem, I would love to hear some great ways of coping with the problem.
Thanks!
